At Government Girls Degree College, Harriya, Basti, we believe in transparency and fairness in all financial matters, including fee collection and refunds. The following Fee Refund Policy applies to students seeking withdrawal or cancellation of admission.


1. General Principles

  • The refund of fees is governed by rules framed by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and/or the affiliating university.

  • All applications for refunds must be submitted in writing to the college office along with relevant documents.


2. Refund Eligibility Criteria

Withdrawal before the commencement of classes 100% refund (after deducting processing fee, if applicable)
Withdrawal within 15 days of commencement 80% refund
Withdrawal within 30 days of commencement 50% refund
Withdrawal after 30 days of commencement No refund

Note: Refunds are subject to verification and approval by the college authorities.


3. Special Cases

  • If a student is admitted through counseling but later opts for another institution, a refund request can be considered if proof is submitted on time.

  • In case of cancellation of admission by the college due to eligibility or other official reasons, a full refund will be initiated.


4. How to Apply for Refund

  1. Submit a written application addressed to the Principal, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

  2. Attach:

    • Original fee receipt

    • Copy of admission form

    • Bank account details for refund transfer

  3. The refund will be processed within 30 working days of approval.


5. Important Notes

  • No cash refunds will be made. Refunds are processed only via bank transfer.

  • Any late fee or penalty charges are non-refundable.

  • Scholarship recipients must follow the refund rules as per scholarship guidelines.
